Our 10,000 square-foot showroom must be seen to be appreciated.  Everything you need to fully outfit your backyard is on display in air-conditioned comfort – including our full size swimming pool! Our state-of-the-art Design Center will help you visualize your backyard with hundreds of photos, of pools, pool features, kitchens, landscaping designs and much more.

Our outdoor kitchens display is the largest in Houston, featuring a full line of products from Cal Flame and Viking Outdoor. We have multiple hot tubs on display, running and ready for a “test soak.”  And we have a complete line of pool and backyard accessories and supplies, available 10 hours a day, six days a week.

About the owner – JR Richard

In 1987, I started Richard’s with every penny that I had saved.  My only thought was to work hard, carry the best products, and always do right for my customers.  I learned these principles from my father who inspired me to develop the “Do Right” Philosophy: “Do Right” Products, “Do Right” Prices and “Do Right” Services.”

Today, Richard’s Total Backyard Solutions still uses these principles, and boasts over 7000 satisfied customers. My wife Julie and I are active full-time in the business.  And our children get involved once in awhile too, such as their role in a recent television commercial.

We must be doing something right, because referrals from our satisfied customers have helped us become one of the top pool builders in the greater Houston area.  And now our business is debt-free, profitable and growing.
